Privacy Policy

Pigge is built by Ghost Bloom Labs LLC. We keep this short and in plain English, because we don't collect much, and we think you should know exactly what we do with it.

What we collect

When you use Pigge or visit pigge.io to join a bill split, we may collect:

• The name you enter when you join a split (e.g., "Gabe")
• Which items you claim on a receipt
• Which payment method you tapped (e.g., Venmo, Cash, Zelle) and the amount
• A randomly generated identifier stored on your device so we can remember you between reloads
• Basic device info your browser sends automatically (browser type, screen size)

We do not collect:

• Your email, phone number, or address (unless you type them into a Zelle or Apple Cash link, which goes directly to those apps, not to us)
• Your payment credentials. Pigge never touches your actual money. We deep-link to payment apps like Venmo; you send money through them, not through us
• Your contacts, camera roll, or location
• Any government IDs, social security numbers, or bank account info

How we use it

The information we collect is used strictly to:

• Show other guests at the same split what you've claimed
• Let the host of the split see who owes what
• Remember your identity if you reload the page so you don't have to re-enter everything
• Calculate how much tax and tip applies to your portion of the bill

We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Where we store it

Data is stored using Supabase, a third-party database provider. Supabase stores data in secure data centers in the United States. Split session data (your name, what you claimed, payment status) is stored there for as long as the split remains active. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Payment apps

When you tap a payment method in Pigge (like Venmo or Cash App), you're deep-linked out of Pigge into that third-party app. Once you're in that app, Pigge can't see what you do. We don't know whether you actually sent money, canceled, or never opened the app. We rely on the host to confirm they received payment.

Cookies and local storage

The pigge.io guest web page stores a small identifier in your browser's local storage so we can remember you between page loads. This is not shared with anyone. Safari users in Private Browsing mode may find this storage is cleared automatically. That's a browser setting, not something we control.

Children's privacy

Pigge is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data through Pigge, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can request we delete your data by emailing us (below). If you're a California resident, you also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to know what data we have and request its deletion. If you're in the EU, you have similar rights under GDPR.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll try to notify you within the app.
